This simple yet flavorful roasted broccoli recipe is packed with garlicky, buttery goodness and crisp, caramelized edges. It's an easy side dish that pairs well with just about anything!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (about 4 cups)

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

  2. Prepare the broccoli by cutting it into evenly sized florets. Pat dry to remove excess moisture (this helps with crispiness).

  3. Make the garlic butter by combining the melted butter and minced garlic in a small bowl.

  4. Toss the broccoli with the garlic butter mixture, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Make sure all the florets are well coated.

  5. Spread the broccoli out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they aren’t overcrowded.

  6. Roast for 18-22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

  7. Optional: Sprinkle with Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving for extra flavor.
