Steak Kabobs

The holidays are quickly approaching! For as long as I can remember our family has come together on Christmas Eve each year for a night of finger foods, gifts and games.

We all bring a dish. The kids open gifts and we play the Saran Wrap Ball game. I’ve always loved this night but now that I have children of my own, it truly is magic.

If you are looking for the perfect party food, this recipe is for you. Kabobs are the perfect choice for any holiday party. They are easy to eat with little clean up and who doesn’t love steak?!

Steak Kabob with Vegetables

Prep Time: 50 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: ~ 1hr 10 min

Ingredients:

  • Skewers

  • 1 zucchini

Instructions:

  1. Chop steak, zucchini, onion and bell pepper into bite size pieces.

  2. Add olive oil, soy sauce and Montreal Steak Seasoning to a large plastic bag.

  3. Place 1 lb of bite size pieces of steak and chopped vegetables in the marinade bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  4. Preheat griddle or flat top grill on low heat.

  5. Remove the bag from the refrigerator and let sit for 20 minutes to come to room temperature.

  6. Skewer steak pieces and vegetables separately, being careful not to overcrowd each skewer.  (Skewering separately is important because vegetables will take longer to cook than the steak.)

  7. Add cooking oil of your choices to griddle or flat top grill and heat over medium.

  8. Place steak skewers on and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, rotating often so all sides touch the flat top.

  9. Cook vegetable skewers for 15-20 minutes, rotating often so all sides touch the flat top.

  10. Let everything rest for 5 minutes before serving.
