Skillet Creamed Corn

Ingredients:
20 ounces corn kernels (frozen or canned)
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp granulated sugar
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbs butter
½ cup whole milk
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
¼ cup grated parmesan
*Optional: chopped parsley or scallions for topping
You will also need:
Skillet (I prefer cast iron)
Instructions:
Combine corn, heavy cream, sugar, butter, salt & pepper in a skillet over MEDIUM heat.
Cook until butter has melted, stirring occasionally. This will take approximately 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, whisk together milk and flour in a small bowl until smooth.
Add milk and flour mixture to the skillet and continue to cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened and corn is cooked through. This will take approximately 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese until melted. *Optional: Top with chopped parsley or scallions.
Serve hot.
