MawMaw’s Meatloaf
If I knew that I was going to die tomorrow and someone requested my last meal order, I would, without a doubt, choose MawMaw’s Meatloaf with her Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes. It is my all time favorite meal and MawMaw makes it for me every year on my birthday.
MawMaw’s Meatloaf was my very first popular Tiktok video. Our followers are still requesting the recipe today and I’m so very happy to be able to share a little of our family with you through this delicious meal.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 75 minutes
Rest Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 35 minutes
Ingredients:
3lbs ground beef
2 tbsp dried onions
1 can evaporated milk (12oz)
1 egg
1 can original Manwich
1 sleeve of crushed Saltine or crushed Ritz crackers
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
9x5” loaf pan
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Crush one sleeve of crackers with your hands or a rolling pin before opening the sleeve to ensure easy cleanup.
3. Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl until combined.
4. Transfer meatloaf mixture to a loaf pan and pat mixture down until the top is smooth.
5. Place the loaf pan on a baking sheet and place the baking sheet inside of the preheated oven. (Baking the meatloaf on a baking sheet ensures for easy oven clean up should there be any overflow.)
6. Bake for 45 minutes.
7. Remove from the oven, drain grease off of the meatloaf and return the meatloaf to the oven to bake for an additional 30 minutes.
8. After cooking time is complete, remove meatloaf from the oven and let sit for 20 minutes before serving. (Allowing the meatloaf to sit for 20 minutes will ensure that the meatloaf holds together firmly while being sliced.)
9. Top with MawMaw’s special sauce (recipe below) or serve sauce in a gravy dish on the side so guests may serve themselves.
TIP: I also recommend that Mawmaw’s meatloaf is served with our Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes which pairs deliciously!
