MawMaw’s Real Southern Brown Gravy
Ingredients:
¼ cup pan drippings
¼ cup flour (I prefer Adluh or White Lilly)
2.5 cups of turkey broth (chicken or beef broth may be substituted depending on your meat)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Instructions:
Combine pan drippings and flour together in sauce pan and place on medium heat.
Stir until a paste forms.
Continue to stir until desired brownness is reached.
Add broth, salt and pepper and continue to stir.
Stir until desired thickness has been achieved and gravy is smooth.
*TIP: Turkey broth creates the most delish gravy in my opinion but any broth can be used.Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
