Caramel Chocolate Brownies

Makes 12 brownies
Ingredients:
1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 pckg Caramels (14oz.)
1 can evaporated milk (10oz.)
¾ cup melted butter
2 tbsp flour
12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans
You will also need:
9x13” pan
Mixing bowl
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9x13” pan with non stick cooking spray.
In a small saucepan, melt caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk over low heat. Stir until fully incorporated then set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk, melted butter and flour. Press half of the mix into the 9x13” pan and bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle with an even layer of chocolate chips and pecans.
Pour caramel sauce on top of the chocolate chip layer.
Crumble the second half of the brownie mix onto the top of the caramel creating an even layer and return to the oven to bake at 350 degrees for an additional 16 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let sit for a minimum of 45 minutes before serving so caramel can set.
