Apple Dumplings

Ingredients:

  • 2 large apples  

  • 2 cans of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls  

  • 1 stick butter, melted 

  • 1 cup sugar 

  • 1 tsp cinnamon 

  • 1 cup Mountain Dew 


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Spray a 9x11” casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray. 

  3. Peel and cut each apple into 8 slices. You will have 16 slices total.   

  4. Open and separate Crescent dough. You will have 16 triangles of Crescent dough. 

  5. Wrap each apple slice in one triangle of Crescent dough and place into the casserole dish. 

  6. In a small bowl, mix sugar, butter and cinnamon. 

  7. Spoon sugar mixture onto each Crescent wrapped apple. 

  8. Pour Mountain Dew into the edge of the Casserole dish around each dumpling, but not on top of the dumplings.  

  9. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes. 

  10. Let sit for 10 minutes and serve independently or with vanilla ice cream. 

*You can use green or red apples depending on your taste preference.
