Aunt Freedom’s Fried Cabbage

 
Fried Cabbage

Prep Time: 10 minutes 
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • 1 large head of cabbage 

  • 2 Vidalia sweet onions

  • 4 tbsp bacon grease (may be switched out for olive oil)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 2 tsp Cavender’s Greek Seasoning

You will also need:

Instructions:

  1. Wash and core cabbage then chop into one-inch pieces. 

  2. Peel and chop onion into one inch pieces.  

  3. Heat bacon grease in a saute pan or skillet on medium high heat. 

  4. Sauté onions and cabbage with salt, pepper and Greek seasoning in bacon grease on medium high heat, stirring every 1-2 minutes until lightly browned. (Approx. 12 min).

  5. Remove from heat and enjoy!
