Grilled Pound Cake

 
Grilled Pound Cake Sunday in South Carolina

Total Time:  10 minutes

Servings: 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 store bought pound cake (Sara Lee or grocery store bakery)

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 1 pinch of salt

You will also need:

  • Grill, grill pan or skillet

Instructions:

  1. Heat a grill or grill pan over MEDIUM heat.

  2. While the grill or pan is heating, slice the pound cake into to 1-inch-thick slices.

  3. Stir together the melted butter, honey, and salt. Brush this mixture over both sides of each slice of pound cake.

  4. Place the cake slices on the grill or pan. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, or until toasted with deeply golden grill marks.

  5. Serve warm with ice cream, grilled fruit, whipped cream, or your favorite topping.
